​Gold has been cherished for centuries for its beauty and durability. Pure gold (24 karat) is too soft for everyday wear, so it’s mixed with other metals — like silver, copper, or zinc — to improve its strength.

Gold Karat Guide

Karat Purity Description
24K 99.9% gold Pure, rich color; very soft—best for ceremonial pieces, not daily wear.
22K 91.7% gold Warm hue; still soft—good for pendants/earrings, limited for daily rings.
18K 75% gold Luxury standard; vibrant color with improved durability for fine jewelry.
14K 58.3% gold Most popular for daily wear; great balance of color, strength, and value.
10K 41.7% gold Hardest and most affordable; paler tone; excellent durability for everyday pieces.

Tip: Higher karat = richer color but softer metal. Lower karat = more durable for daily wear.
