JEWELRY CARE & SAFETY

Your jewelry deserves the same attention and care it was crafted with. Proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance ensure your pieces last a lifetime — and continue to shine like the day you got them.

Below is a guide on how to care for different types of jewelry and keep them safe, whether you wear them daily or for special occasions.
Diamond Jewelry
  • Cleaning: Soak in a bowl of warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap. Gently scrub with a soft toothbrush, rinse, and pat dry with a lint-free cloth.
  • Avoid: Harsh chemicals like bleach, chlorine, or household cleaners — they can weaken metal prongs and dull your diamond’s sparkle.
  • Maintenance Tip: Have your diamond jewelry professionally cleaned and inspected every 6 months to check for loose stones or worn prongs.
Platinum Jewelry
  • Cleaning: Use a solution of warm water and mild soap. Soak for 20–30 minutes, brush softly, and rinse.
  • Durability: Platinum is strong but can develop a soft patina over time. This natural finish can be polished out or left as a vintage look.
  • Maintenance: Have it professionally buffed occasionally to restore shine.
Gemstone Jewelry
  • Cleaning: Use only lukewarm water and a very mild soap. Some gemstones (like emeralds, opals, or pearls) are porous and should never be soaked.
  • Avoid: Ultrasonic cleaners or steam — these can damage softer stones.
  • Storage: Keep gemstone jewelry separate from diamonds or metals that may scratch them.
Gold Jewelry (Yellow, White, and Rose Gold)
  • Cleaning: Use warm soapy water and a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly and polish gently with a soft cloth.
  • Avoid: Wearing gold jewelry in pools, hot tubs, or while applying lotions and perfumes — chemicals can cause tarnish and dullness.
  • Storage: Store gold pieces separately in soft pouches or individual boxes to prevent scratching.
Silver Jewelry
  • Cleaning: Use a gentle silver polishing cloth or a mild silver cleaner. For light tarnish, mix a paste of baking soda and water, gently rub, rinse, and dry.
  • Avoid: Humidity and exposure to air when not worn. Store silver in an airtight bag or anti-tarnish pouch.
  • Tip: Frequent wear helps prevent tarnish — silver loves to be worn!
Pearls
  • Cleaning: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth after each wear to remove body oils and perfume residue.
  • Avoid: Chemicals, hairspray, and prolonged water exposure.
  • Storage: Store flat in a soft-lined box, never in plastic, and away from other jewelry to prevent scratching.
  • Wear Tip: Pearls should be the last thing you put on — and the first thing you take off.
⚒️ General Safety Tips
  • Remove jewelry before swimming, cleaning, or exercising.
  • Always put on jewelry after applying perfume, lotion, or makeup.
  • Schedule routine cleanings and inspections with our in-house jeweler — we’ll ensure your stones are secure and your metal settings are in top shape.
  • Keep your jewelry in a clean, dry place. Use individual pouches or soft-lined boxes to prevent scratching or tangling.
